TINA’S TIP: The best way to grow your business is to join something. Get involved with a nonprofit that is working to change an area that you have some passion for, or join your local Chamber of Commerce and get on one of their committees. You will make a better community and meet loads of like-minded people, that are fun to work with and – they may need your help in the future.

What a busy week for Uptown Studios… We were all over the place and had a little Halloween dress up for work, but I had a meeting scheduled to go support the kick off event Farm to Fork at Cesar Chavez Park.

Here is a photo of Leidhra, Social Media Kitten, Thing 1, and Cecelia Aguilar-Curry, Mayor of Winters.

Leidhra and I presented a Social Media 101 class to American River Parkway Foundation – giving a group of 15 an overview of what social media can do for you – great people doing great work.

We launched a brand new site for Transportation California. This is a responsive site, which means it reduces to fit the mobile device being viewed on. If you are on your main computer just drag the corner and see how the site reformats for a smaller screen. It is expected that by 2014, 80% of ALL internet activity will be from a mobile device – so – if you are considering a website redesign make sure you are including responsive design.

We attended the Hallowind Ghoulapalooza at the Citizen Hotel – a fun fun night AND we raised some much needed money for WIND Youth Services.
