Website Hosting

Cost: $500 Annually

Uptown Studios runs a shared server via a third party service, Pagely. We run PHP 8, MySQL 8 and all our websites are backed up every 24 hours. Pagely uses the PressArmor Security Suite  which is a suite of tools, practices and systems used from the top down to ensure customer security. This includes everything from a WordPress-knowledgeable web application firewall (WAF), to login throttling, rate-limiting, restricted permissions on the filesystem, malware scanning and monitoring, auditing, and recommended rules around accessing the WordPress admin.

Maintenance Plans

We offer three tiers of website maintenance options to meet evolving needs.

Cost: $200 Monthly

Under our basic maintenance plan, we’ll ensure the general health and security of the website. This option is the minimum requirement to be hosted on the Uptown Studios server, so we can ensure the website and all of its features are kept up to date enough to live amongst all of our hosted websites. The following items are included under a basic website maintenance plan:

  • WordPress core and plugin updates
  • Server security updates
  • Website backup and recovery
  • Accessibility testing (ADA Compliance)
  • Quarterly Analytics report
  • SSL certificate
  • Basic content edits can be assessed within 72 hours of request. If the nature of the request goes beyond the budgeted amount of time for this contract it can be completed on a bill-for-time basis. We will always get in contact with you before completing any work under a bill-for-time basis.

Cost: $500 Monthly

Our Essential web maintenance plan is our most popular and most recommended option. Under the Essentials plan, in addition to all basic security and plugin updates you’ll also have direct access to a developer for updates and changes to the website. The following items are included under our Essential website maintenance plan: 

  • WordPress core and plugin updates
  • Server security updates
  • Website backup and recovery
  • Accessibility testing (ADA compliance)
  • Quarterly performance testing
  • Monthly Analytics reports sent between the 1st and the 5th of each month
  • Quarterly reviews of Analytics reports along with recommendations for improvements 
  • On Page SEO (the optimization of the homepage, keyword integration for additional content as requested) 
  • SSL certificate & Domain management 
  • Coverage of licensing fees for all premium plugins 
  • Website edits 
  • Direct access to a web developer 
  • Web edits completed within 48 hours of request

Cost: $700 Monthly

For larger, e-commerce or newly launched websites, our premium plan offers everything from both our Basic Maintenance plan, Essential Plans with additional time for developers to customize features, add additional pages or content, maintain special software and conduct more in-depth performance and SEO analysis. The following items are included under our Premium Maintenance Plan:

  • WordPress core and plugin updates
  • Server security updates
  • Website backup and recovery
  • Accessibility testing (ADA compliance)
  • Monthly performance testing
  • Monthly Analytics reports sent between the 1st and the 5th of each month
  • Monthly reviews of Analytics reports along with recommendations for improvements 
  • On Page SEO (the optimization of the homepage, keyword integration for additional content as requested) 
  • SSL certificate & Domain management 
  • Coverage of licensing fees for all premium plugins 
  • Website edits and new content (this can include the addition of new pages, features, content updates and more)
  • Direct access to a web developer
  • Web edits put into production within 24 hours of request
  • After hours support, direct access to a developer on nights and weekends 

Work that requires additional time such as large-scale WordPress updates, updates to dated themes, website or security remediation (such as removing nefarious malware, viruses etc.) may be quoted separately. Websites, their functionality, technology and upkeep needs to be assessed before a site that our developers did not build is put under a maintenance agreement. We only work on WordPress sites. Other sites can be assessed on a case by case basis. No work beyond the agreed upon budget will be completed without client approval with the exception of any necessary security updates that have the potential of putting other websites on the server at risk. 

Clients are not under yearly contracts and can cancel or switch plans at their own discretion. Hosting is billed annually in January, Web Maintenance costs are billed monthly, or annually if preferred.
