A Look Back At The Year

After completing another year surrounded by the threat of COVID-19, we march on. Our drummer is sounding a beat that keeps us marching in step, AND watching our step. We have all had to make adjustments, and now we are into our reality of make it or break it. We have figured out how to survive when so much has changed. Now, we are changing with the times. 2022 is going to be a kick ass year, even if it is different from the years prior to 2020.

Some Of Our Changes

One adjustment we have made is that almost everyone here at Uptown Studios is working remotely and only coming into our beautiful studio once a month for a team luncheon. Our biggest change is that we are renting our office space out for meetings, events and other fun things. We now rely heavily on Slack as the main method of communication between team members. Now, we are a bunch of Zoomers who get more meetings done in one day than ever before!

I only attend about one or two in-person meetings a week. I’ll admit, it is nice to get out and be with people “in-the-round”. We are so excited to have expanded our video show to be every Tuesday, including Keith Lowell Jensen as my co-host. Also, we are planning on more exciting interviews and teaching opportunities in 2022 through the “Live at Uptown Studios” videocast. We will be helping many other clients to produce their own local shows to share information about their programs, interview their stakeholders and their clients – virtual life is working!

We March Forward

Since everyone is working remotely we have one team member that moved to Tennessee, without a hitch. Some of our team members have had babies and continue to work from home. It is so much better than having to come into work when you have little ones at home! We are excited to have hired quite a few new crew members to join us at Uptown Studios, and we are sad about the team members who have left us to continue down their paths. Despite all of this change, we march forward!

Here’s To Some Positive Change

Just like you, we are changing with the times, coming up with creative solutions to build our business, create a better community, and to help our clients. Here’s to some positive change in 2022 for you and your teams!
