I really don’t like being cold; especially my feet, which is why we are asking people to donate socks for others who need your help now more than ever!
Cold feet are the worst.

But I’m really fortunate in that worrying about being cold is not something I have to do. I am guessing that if you are reading this at your computer or on your mobile phone, cold feet are not one of your primary worries either.

We are the fortunate but there are many others who do not share in the luxury of warmth. On any given night in Sacramento, more than 2,500 men, women and children are without a permanent place to sleep in our community.

Homeless shelters seem to fill up fast this time of year, and as much as we try, we don’t have enough emergency shelters to fill the need. So as winter approaches, we find a lot of folks sleeping outside and in need of additional basics, like socks.

So Here’s Where You Enter The Picture…

Uptown Studios is once again taking on the challenge of collecting and donate socks, more than 15,000 pairs of socks to Loaves & Fishes by Friday, December 16th, 2018. We’ve done it before and with your help we can do it again!

Here are some easy ways to get involved and help :

Grab some extra socks on your next shopping trip and drop them by the Uptown Studios office Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm now through Dec. 16 or at any local participating Famous Footwear Stores and Temple Coffee locations (Midtown Sacramento and Monroe and Fair Oaks Locations.)

Go online and drop ship your sock donations to the Uptown Studios office -2415 23rd Street, Sacramento CA 95818  using these great links:
