The power of a solid, identifiable brand goes a long way in creating trust, confidence and customer loyalty. Keeping your brand consistent on all channels is becoming more difficult with the addition of social media. Here are a few tips to help you make everything look just right.

  1. Use a design style guide and inform every member on your staff on how to use it. A style guide shows the correct use of the logo in full color and both black and white only versions. The CMYK, Pantone, HEX or RGB color codes should be listed for precise color matching of main and supplemental brand colors. It should list the fonts and any official tag lines, mottos or pledges. It is also important to include a square logo to be used on all social media channels.
  2. Your team should also have email signatures that are presented in a consistent manner. I think that it is important to list all company social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, etc. and refrain from adding a logo as it will show up as an attachment.
  3. Maintain a schedule to review your brand on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Check all of your online and print materials.

Keep your brand consistent and your company will reap the rewards.
