We think 2016 will be the best year ever for Uptown Studios. Here are a few of the observations from the Uptown Crew on what 2016 will bring…

Small business will need to pay more attention to mobile marketing. If your website is not responsive in design (which means it is easy to view on a mobile device) you will be having fewer contacts. Small business will need to build in mobile plans into their marketing – Google is now punishing websites that are not responsive. Your customers will be expecting quicker responses and faster access to your information – make that site super FAST!

Kate Moore – Multimedia Director
The things I am most looking forward to in 2016 is the Facebook Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset that will immerse audiences in a real 3 dimensional experience. Oculus Rift technology and 3D immersive reality experiences are something that I have been following for the past few years and 2016 will be when more people will be interactive with Facebook’s expected first-quarter launch. See a story about it here: http://www.businessinsider.com/palmer-luckey-tweets-that-oculus-rift-on-track-for-q1-2016-launch-2015-12

Another prediction for 2016 is continued expansion with live-streaming video and video conferencing. The newest interface for this is Blab – https://blab.im/about We are doing more webinars than ever and Blab is a new channel to create your own show. We’ll be looking at Blab more in 2016 along with Periscope for our video marketing strategy.

The new year is right around the corner and I can’t wait to see what it brings! With the ever changing world of technology, I envision a year filled with creativity, new and exciting gadgets, and strategies that will expand our ideas on user experience.

As part of the Uptown Studios crew I’m excited to see how we can apply all of this to the work we do and to better serve our clients. From websites to illustrations or memorable memes, our team is always looking for ways to expand our skills and better our clients’ marketing and branding. I’m looking forward to continuing the journey with the Uptown Studios team and family of clients in 2016!

Luke Miller – Content Manager
In 2016, I’m really excited to see how digital advertising continues to develop! With how much Google’s AdWords system has grown throughout this year alone, all signs point to big things in store for Google’s own advertising system and the industry at large.

Additionally, the power and flexibility of WordPress-based websites just continues to impress me. I’m really interested in how design trends of 2015 will morph and grow in the year ahead. There are just so many new tools all the time for businesses and organizations to take advantage of on their websites when they’re built on the WordPress platform that it’s always exciting to learn about them all and get the chance to build innovative, creative solutions for our clients.

Mark Hebert – Graphic Designer
I’m particularly excited about the enhancements Adobe Creative Cloud and its suite of apps roll-out in 2016. There are so many new things that enhance my creativity and workflow, both mobile and in the office. It just keeps getting better and better. I’m thrilled that Uptown Studios prides itself on innovation and embracing the early adoption of new technology. I’m also excited to be one of the two newest members of Uptown’s design team. I expect great things from us in 2016!

Kristen Stauss – Print Manager
In 2016 I would like to get back to the craft of print. Using old methods such as letterpress, die cuts and old fashion hand assembly to create actual art pieces through the means of graphic design, print and hand held manipulations to create fantastic eye catching products.
